My services
I work from home and and carry out all fittings in my fitting room which has been designed for this purpose. There is ample space to accommodate the bride, bridesmaids and members of the family if required. At the initial first fitting, I fit and pin the dress, advise on any alterations required, agree a price, a date for the second fitting and a completion date. I offer dress storarge until collection.
01 Wedding Dress Services
I carry out beadwork, lacework and re-design where the dress isn't exactly what the bride wants. This ranges from alteration or addition of straps, alteration of the length, necklines, additional lace, etc. I offer advice and guidance about what can and can’t be done at the first fitting. I also carry out the final fitting for the brides. I also offer alterations to the wedding dress after the wedding if required. Many brides have the length shortened so the dress can be worn again after their special day. Some dresses have extensive beadwork and lace detail. This can be very time intensive when part of the alteration service so there may be an addtional cost in these instances. The price will be advised at the first fitting.
02 Bridesmaid Dress Services
The majority of bridesmaid dresses require the length taking up or addition of straps. The fitting service offered is the same as it is for brides.
03 Mother of the Bride Services
I offer a full alteration service for mothers of the brides which usually involves taking in seams, alteration of the length, shoulders and sleeves. The fitting service offered is the same as it is for brides.
04 Prom Dress Alterations
Alterations on prom dresses, ball gowns and evening wear from straps, length shortening, taking in seams, etc.
05 General Alterations
I also carry out general clothing alterations. One thing I have been asked to do several times is to make cravats, ties and handkerchiefs for the groom and ushers so please ask if this is something you are interested in. The price will be dependent on the design and material required.
